McTimoney Chiropractor for humans
Registered with GCC & Member of MCA
Phone: 01856 875433
Stephen’s interest in Chiropractic came from liking the idea that manual adjustment of the spine could positively affect health. He graduated with an Integrated Masters in Chiropractic from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in 2012, having worked for many years in the field of rehabilitation in the hospital environment. Stephen is also qualified in a number of soft tissue techniques and remedial exercises, which he uses and teaches in combination with his Chiropractic treatment sessions.
Stephen is keen to help his patients empower themselves with the knowledge to actively participate in maintaining their wellbeing. He is happy to work with people from all stages of life who may be experiencing acute pain and discomfort, recovering from illness and injury or wishing to improve their sporting performance.
Stephen is delighted to be coming to the Orkneys to join the McTimoney Chiropractic group at Suilven Centre. He is looking forward to meeting the Orcadian people and being able to help many who may have not yet experienced the soft techniques of McTimoney Chiropractic.
I qualified as a Thermal Auricular Therapist (Hopi Ear Candling) in July 2007 in Bournemouth, where I gained a Diploma for Hopi Ear Candling. I have been practising this treatment ever since.

Karen Withams MA (Hons) Dip Vib Med
Vibrational Medicine Practitioner & Reiki
Mobile: 07951 656970
Over the last few years I have developed an increasing interest in the field of alternative and complementary health which has led me to explore various therapies and practices. During this period I have realised that there is a place for many different approaches to health depending on an individual’s requirements at any given time however, the method that I have found to be
the most powerful for humans is something called Vibrational Medicine. My training with The Scottish School of Vibrational Medicine in Nairn was carried out over a two year period and I qualified as a practitioner in October 2011.
Vibrational Medicine is not very well known (at the moment!) but as a practitioner I use a pendulum to identify problems within the body by means of dowsing. Once identified I then use Homeopathic and Energy remedies, dowsed from nature, to treat the root cause of the problem (which often is not the presenting symptoms). The remedies are made up in small vials of organic sesame seed oil which are then placed on the skin over Acupuncture points on the Meridians for a specified amount of time. The results from this process are often remarkable as the body heals itself naturally in response to these remedies.
In addition I can also offer Reiki sessions which may, on occasions be incorporated into a Vibrational Medicine session if that is what is required by the client’s body.
I am also happy to work with animals, with horses being of special interest especially through a bodywork modality called Equine Touch - please contact me to discuss your requirements.
